7-29-13 “Hamlisch” tribute in Tap

Started working on an arrangement of a Tap number for an extremely talented student. I was inspired by the late Marvin Hamlisch– included — “One Track Mind,” from Sweet Smell of Success; (lyrics by Craig Carnelia) “Fallin'”, from They’re Playing our Song (lyrics by Carole Bayer Sager) and “Smile,” from the musical Smile with lyrics by Howard Ashman.

7-28-13 The Good Life, with Regina Leon, 7:30 pm

Steven is music director for Regina Leon’s premiere solo cabaret debut (The Good Life) at the Sandbox Theater. Musical numbers included “Like Love” “Crush On you” “Primitive Man”, “It Never Entered My Mind,” “Somebody Somewhere,” “Just A Housewife/Much More” “When Did I Fall in Love” , “New Words,” Teach Me Tonight,” “Take It Easy,”(The EAGLES!, “Everytime We Say Goodbye,” “Time To Say Goodbye.”  She performed at the Westchester Sandbox Theater.

7-14-13 “On Becoming”

catherine-and-stephenCatherine WolfOn July 13, Steven served as accompanist (music ranging from Chopin to Jerry Herman), arranger and a bit actor in Catherine Wolf’s one woman show “On Becoming,” presented at The Sembrich Museum.  It was directed by Jack Gindi.  Artistic Director Richard Wargo (composer of “Ballymore”) along with board members Beth and intern Gabriel were fantastic hosts!  For more information on Marcella Sembrich or the museum,  click here.
