“Steven Silverstein--he's off the charts--in fact he doesn't usually need one. Just a wild, but knowledgeable musician.” - Bill Irwin, Tony Award Winner for Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf on Broadway
“Steve Silverstein has an incredible knowledge of the American Musical Theatre that has been invaluable to my work with him through the years. He not only comes to the piano with professionalism and incredible skill, but also with heart. He can play anything, he knows everything, and he sees everything. He has played for me before every major audition I have had in the last ten years. I am grateful and lucky to have him in my life!” - Annaleigh Ashford, Tony Award winner for You Can't Take It With You
Steven has played numerous special events for me and he is a consummate pro. He’s reliable, professional and easily adaptable to all situations. You can count on everything going smoothly when you hire Steven."
- Jeffrey Shubart, Grants Manager, Lucille Lortel Foundation

11-8-14 Steven will be playing for “Simply Barbra” at Don’t Tell Mama’s

Flyer for 11-8-14I am very excited to be playing piano for “Simply Barbra” for the first time in NYC at Don’t Tell Mamas.   I have played for “Barbra” most recently at the Pavilion in Fire Island.  STEVEN BRINBERG (AKA Simply Barbra) has been acclaimed for his vocal performance of Barbra Streisand for over a decade around the world.  In addition to touring all over America, he has played in England, Ireland, Scotland more cities than the real Barbra!  Steven was hired by Streisand’s management to perform at her friend Donna Karan’s birthday party.  Steven has recorded two Cd’s and has appeared in several feature films.  His latest SIMPLY BARBRA show celebrates the 50th anniversary of Streisand’s opening on Broadway in FUNNY GIRL.
