Steven’s Song “Susie’s Christmas Gift” (The Christmas Smiley), with lyrics by Michael Colby, will be performed as part of the Christmas Songbook. It will be sung by Kerri Brackin. It was originally recorded by Anna Leigh Ashford, curently on the tour of “Wicked”. The donnell library is on 53rd street between 5th and 6th avenue and the concert begins at 2:30 PM

 

December 8, 2005 

Steven is music director of new musical reading entitled “Rancho Cucamonga” written by Rob Gerlach, Clint Edwards and Matthew Riopelle. Cast includes: Alison Fraser, Gene Biscontini, Jenny Eisenhower, Lisa Adams, Jaygee Macapugay, Sebastian La Cause and Adam Heller. Director: Sheryl Kaller

 

November 28, 2005

November 23, 2005

Steven has composed music for It Happened One Christmas Eve, running at Westchester Broadway Theatre from Nov 23-Dec. 23. For more information, click here. November 19, 2005

Amy Holloran left a lovely guestbook entry for Steven this month. Most recently she and Steven recorded a demo for her audition for Tracy – the lead in the Hairspray movie. Amy is going to be on the new NBC sitcom “Thick and Thin” in March. Here is a clip of “Welcome to the 60’s,” from Hairspray.

Steven is music director/arranger of fundraiser for The Parish of Saints John and Paul Church in Larchmont on Sunday Oct 30, 2005. The performance is at 7:30 and is sold out. Performers include John Treacy Egan (THE PRODUCERS), Rebecca Spencer (JECKYL & HYDE), Christine Pedi (FORBIDDEN BROADWAY).

Steven will be returning as music director by popular demand to Danny’s Skylight Cabaret Room with William Ryall’s acclaimed cabaret act FLYING CARS AND FALLING CHANDELIERS! on October 24 & 31 at 9:15 pm. $15.00 Cover ($10 MAC/AEA), $12.00 food/drink min. Steven has just started work as rehearsal pianist and copyist for a new Off Broadway show opening called The Ark. Steven just finished music directing a workshop production of KIKI BABY written by Lonny Price (book), Grant Sturiale (music) and Ellen Fitzhugh (lyrics). It was directed by Lonny Price (Merrily We Roll Along, A Class Act). This time the ladies (a new cast of 3 pregnant women: Alisa Klein, Sandy Rustin, and Jessica Walling will be performing at Ars Nova, 511 West 54th Street between 10th and 11th Avenues. On May 7th at 2-7 and May 8th from 12-5, Steven will be holding a workshop with artistic director Nancy Hillman at the Drew Harvey Theater in Yelm, Washington. The workshop is entitled: “A New York State of Mind.” Steven will be covering all aspects of auditioning, and music preparation and presentation to land a job as an actor. On April 2nd, Steven will serve as assistant music director for the Annual Inner Circle Show. The show was created by reporters who wanted to “roast” the incumbent mayor. Those included in the show have been Gabe Pressman, David Diaz, Tony Guida and Jim Ryan (anchor of Good Day New York). The news media sing parody songs from broadway shows and the “pop” world. Steven served as music director for John Treacy Egan’s Solo one man show at the Crest Theater in Del Ray Beach, Florida on March 7 and March 8.
